The USCM Approach

The close working relationship that USCM staff have with Mayors allows for the synergistic development of major health and human services initiatives at the local and national level. Staff responds to Mayors' public health priorities by exploring ways that Mayors as a group can effectively address those priorities. Staff members inform Mayors of developments in public health and human services that affect urban populations. Backed by the authority of Mayors, staff is able to bring national attention to major health initiatives.
