Founded in 1886, American Water is the largest publicly traded U.S. water and wastewater services provider. American Water’s homeowner services subsidiary, American Water Resources, LLC. (AWR) provides Water Line, Sewer Line and In-Home Plumbing Emergency protection for homeowners in 34 states. Selected by New York City as the official service line protection provider for homeowners in its five boroughs, AWR also forms partnerships with municipalities, offering cities an income opportunity while also providing a valuable customer service to homeowners. The programs are administered by AWR and provide customers with comprehensive protection for repairs not covered by homeowners’ insurance or their water or sewer service provider.
