American Society of Civil Engineers
ASCE, founded in 1852, is the country’s oldest national civil engineering organization. It represents more than 144,000 civil engineers in private practice, government, industry and academia who are dedicated to the advancement of the science and profession of civil engineering.
ASCE’s vision is to position civil engineers as global leaders building a better quality of life.
ASCE continues to promote the need to invest in our nation’s infrastructure through the Report Card for America’s Infrastructure. The 2009 Report Card was released in January 2009.
