POLICE DEPARTMENT TOURS

1. Briefly describe the structure of your program.

These tours are given to children in day care centers, schools, and scout groups. The purpose again is to get children comfortable with talking with officers. The children talk to officers, see where they work and find out a little about the type of work the officers do.

2. When was the program created and why?

The program has always been provided. The purpose is to let the community know how their police force works and again to help children to feel comfortable with police officers.

3. How is the program financed?

There is no cost connected with this.
