THE LEADERSHIP RENAISSANCE

1. Briefly describe the structure of your program.

The "Leadership Renaissance" is a joint effort of the Junior League of North Little Rock and the North Little Rock Police Department. It consists of a one-day workshop in which secondary school students in North Little Rock hear presentations and lectures by members from different sections of the North Little Rock Police and Emergency Services Departments.

2. When was the program created and why?

The program was created to give students a view of different jobs in the police department and emergency services and to provide a chance for positive interaction.

3. How do you measure the programís effectiveness?

Program effectiveness is measured by critiques from program participants.

4. How is the program financed?

The program is financed jointly by the NLRPD and the Junior League of North Little Rock.

5. How is the community involved in the program, if at all? How has the community responded to the program?

The community is involved in the Leadership Renaissance through the Junior League and students from NLR Secondary Schools. The students and members of the Junior League have always highly rated this program.
