In Chicago, September 17, the U.S. Conference of Mayors and the Illinois Municipal League will co-sponsor a plenary session celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. This is the 86th Annual Conference of the Illinois Municipal League The plenary session, which is being dedicated to the celebration of the Silver Anniversary of CDBG, is scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. in the Chicago Hilton and Towers.

Vice President Al Gore and HUD Secretary Andrew Cuomo have been invited to speak at the session along with Chicago Mayor Richard Daley and Conference President and Denver Mayor Wellington E. Webb.

All Mayors are invited to attend the Chicago celebration of 25 years of accomplishments with the Community Development Block Grant.
