Conference Leaders Re-Elected Webb, Kirk Each Gradner at Least 75% of the Vote
Wellington E. Webb, Mayor of Denver and Conference Vice President, and Ronald Kirk, Mayor of Dallas and Conference Advisory Board member, were returned to office in recent elections. Mayor Webb, who received 80 percent of the vote, will return for his third and final term due to term limits. During the term, he will take the reins from Salt Lake City Mayor Deedee Corradini as Conference President next month at the 1999 Annual Conference in New Orleans. Mayor Kirk received 75% of the vote and, also due to term limits, will return for his second and final term.

Other Conference leaders were succeeded after they chose not to seek another term. They include West Palm Beach Mayor and Conference Trustee Nancy M. Graham and Abilene Mayor and Conference Advisory Board member Gary D. McCaleb.

Below are mayors, listed by state, who have been elected in 1999 as of publication of U.S. Mayor. For the most recent elections, visit the USCM Mayoral Elections Database at /uscm/elections/
