Supporting The Benefits Of Waste-To-Energy And Landfill Gas As Clean, Renewable Energy And Eligible For Tax Credits urges support for federal legislation that provides production and investment credits for local entities and production tax credits for all forms of biomass technologies including waste-to-energy and landfill gas recovery projects.
Supporting Historic Homeownership Tax Credits urges Congress and the President to move expeditiously to enact the Historic Homeownership Assistance Act, which would provide a 20 percent tax credit on rehabilitation expenses up to $40,000 on a primary residence located in a federal, state or local historic district.
Expanding And Simplifying The Earned Income Tax Credit urges Congress to expand the Earned Income Tax Credit and provide additional flexibility and funding for aggressive outreach efforts, in conjunction with the Internal Revenue Services, to inform families of their eligibility; and urges Congress to look for ways to simplify the EITC, such as the approach in the Simplified Family Credit Proposal which combines the EITC with the Child Tax Credit, the Dependent Exemption and the Additional Child Credit into one easy-to-claim credit.
